The Auburn Players Community Theatre will present The Giver on February 11th, 12th, 13th, and 14th.

Find out what life could be like if love, poverty, disease, hunger, and war disappeared. In fact, this society is so perfect that you won’t have to worry about minor things like making decisions, having memories, dating, or choosing a job. Also, in this futuristic society, individual identity has gone the way of cassette tapes, and everyone is essentially just like everyone else.

Experience life in this alternative future by meeting Jonas, played by Michael Ducayne. Jonas is at a crossroads; he is about to find out what job he will receive. The Giver, played by Geoffrey Howard, will help Jonas discover his future. Chief Elder must lead Jonas and the community. Chief Elder will be portrayed by Pamela Anderegg.

Jonas’s family members include his intelligent, justice wielding Mother played by Ashley Bobbett, his Father the decisive, Nurturer played by Chris Yeckel, and his little sister Lily brought to the stage by Isabella Ducayne and Charlie Tallman.

Some friends of Jonas are the game loving Asher played by Ben Kringer, and the caring Fiona portrayed by Delaney Lovell.
Members of the Ensemble cast include: Mary Ellen Ducayne, Sharla Dart, Tori Trumbull, Ella Boedicker, Emma Hall, and Lilith Panek.
