Director Bob Frame assembles talented cast for The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940

The Auburn Players and their fans have a lot to look forward to in April. On April 17th, 18th, and 19th Auburn Players Community Theatre will present The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940 directed by Bob Frame. The action begins as Elsa Von Grossenknueten, played by Jen Derbyshire, invites a broadway team to her lovely, old, kind of weird house, with secret passages, blood soaked carpets, and (of course) isolated by a snowstorm. The maid, Helsa Wenzel, will be portrayed by Katie Bruno. Actors at the audition include Patrick O’Reilly, an irish tenor played by Dale Fennessy, Nikki Crandall, a chorus girl played by Alicia Frame, and Eddie McCuen, a comedian played by Michael Antico. The creative team of Ken De La Maize (Seth Kennedy), Marjorie Baverstock (Kristin Bridges), Roger Hopewell (Ed Beck), and Bernice Roth (Clare Lopez) are just coming off a broadway flop that was ruined by a string a murders by an unknown killer only known as the Stage Door Slasher. Detective Michael Kelly (Tim Meyers) proves to be little help as the bodies begin to pile up. This hilarious comedy will be a must see!
