The Auburn Players are seeking fearless, talented, tribe members for the upcoming musical production of HAIR. Matthew Ryan Limmerick will direct with musical direction by Stephen Gamba. Auditions are Tuesday March 18 and Wednesday March 19 at 6:30 p.m. at Willard Memorial Chapel, 17 Nelson St. in Auburn.

HAIR is a joyous celebration of youth at a poignant journey through a tumultuous 1960’s America. Tribe members search for truth, peace and love in a Vietnam War era. Featuring a multi-cultural cast singing the chart topping hits ‘Aquarius’, ‘Let the Sun Shine In’, and ‘Good Morning Starshine’. We are creating a sensory overload experience with a group of performers that are willing to take risks, make leaps and give all they can to what will be a promising unforgettable production.
Seeking 8 Leads (4 Males and 4 Females) with rock/pop/r&b voices and charming charisma, attitude, uniqueness and bravery, As well as, the Tribe Members (Ensemble singer/dancers full of freedom and range).
All Performers MUST Sing, Dance and Act and be over the age of 17.
Please prepare 16 bars of a song from a period rock piece (Beatles, Joplin, etc.) that shows off your vocal range. You should NOT sing any musical theater including music from the show. Also, prepare one of the monologues from “The Hair Audition Packet,” that can be found at www.auburnplayers.org. Please bring a recent photo and sheet music in the appropriate key to auditions with you.
Seeking multi-cultural, all ethnicities, colors of the rainbow and fearless souls. The show contains content of sexual, drug and religious natures. Please be advised that you must be an open-minded, free thinker and willing to be fearless in order to audition for this production.
Rehearsals will take place evenings in March, April and May 2014.
