The Auburn Players are happy to announce auditions for Jason Robert Brown’s musical “The Last Five Years.” Auditions will be held Tuesday May 19th & Wednesday May 20th.
Auditions are encouraged to schedule an appoint by contacting Director Matthew Limerick. Auditions by appointment will be held between 6:00PM to 7:30PM with open auditions held from 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM at First Presbyterian Church, 112 South Street, Auburn, New York.
Roles for 1 Female, 1 Male available, ages 18 to 40. Please prepare 16 to 32 measures of a contemporary musical theatre song, preferably by Jason Robert Brown. “Rent” or “Wicked” songs are not preferred.

Cathy Hiatt- character arcs from an ambitious, fresh-faced girl in a new relationship to a woman stunned by a betrayal and divorce that she is only beginning to understand. Female. Vocal Range: F3-D#5.
Jamie Wellerstein- character arcs from an ambitious guy on a promising first date with a dazzling career to someone who is blinded by success and ego. He is lovable, yet makes unintentional choices that sabotages his own happiness. Male. Range A2-Bb4.
Additional Information- The Last Five Years is a contemporary song cycle musical that ingeniously chronicles the 5 year life of a marriage, from meeting to break-up or break-up to meeting depending on how you look at it. The show is an intensely personal look at relationship between a writer and actress told from both points of view. His going forward and hers going backwards.
