MEET THE DIRECTOR

ANTIGONE & LETTERS TO SOLDIERS LOST

DIRECTED BY ROBERT FRAME

Bob has been involved with the Auburn Players since he moved into town in 1979 and has worked on almost every production since.  He has directed productions of Deathtrap, Prelude to a Kiss, Brighton Beach Memoirs, ‘night, Mother and The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940 and last season’s Lil’Abner to name a few. Bob has also directed for Skaneateles Summer Theatre (Anything Goes, Music Man) and Seneca Players (Pirates of Penzance). During his time with the Players he has also acted, built the sets, designed the lights and served on their Board. Bob is currently a Board Member and Roving Adjudicator for the Theatre Association of NY State. He also has a seat on the Board of Directors of the American Association of Community Theatre, the national advocating body for non-professional theatre. He looks forward to again serving as Technical Director for their Biennial National Festival in Louisville Kentucky.

Bob Recently retired from Cayuga Community College, but he will still teach the theatre courses and direct for Harlequin Productions. During his career, Bob’s work has received many positive reviews and won numerous awards, notably the J. Richard Mahlstedt Directing Award from TANYS. When he is not in a theatre somewhere, he lives in Mottville with his wife, Ann who is Stage Managing tonight’s show. Their children, Michael, Caryl, Alicia and Gillian have fled the house leaving an empty nest. Bob is thrilled for this opportunity to work with the cast and crew of Antigone and Letters to Soldier’s Lost Their talent and commitment through this pandemic awes him. He can’t thank them enough for all they have done to bring this important show to the stage for your enjoyment.

Performances are free and students are encouraged to attend.

Bring a lawn chair! All performances will be outside.

Masks required while entering & exiting area.

Social distancing protocols will be followed.
