The show can finally go on!!

The Auburn Players will start their 61st live theater season with the return of the production,

Antigone and Letters to Solders Lost

Friday, July 23rd & Saturday, July 24th at 7:00 PM

Sunday, July 25th at 2:00 PM

Based on Sophocles’ play Antigone, this adaptation by Al Schnupp inter-splices the classic Greek tragedy with letters written to lost soldiers and left at the Vietnam War Memorial in Washington, DC.  The letters are read by the cast as members at specific moments throughout the play. Together, the play and letters show how survivors deal with the aftermath of war.

Director Robert Frame first staged this production last fall using social distant blocking and masked actors.  He is thrilled to restage this play creating more intimate moments.

Mark your calendars now!   The show will take place on the back lawn of the PERC Presbyterian Event & Retreat Center (former Case Mansion), 108 South St in Auburn.  Performances are free, please bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on.
