The Auburn Players Community Theater announces auditions for Love, Loss, and What I Wore, a comedy by Nora Ephron and Delia Ephron, based on the book by Ilene Beckerman.

Audition Dates: Sunday, March 19th 2:00 to 4:00 PM at First Presbyterian Church, 112 South St, Auburn

The Play:  Witty, wise and wonderful, this play proves that great storytelling is always in fashion. A series of monologues and ensemble pieces about women, clothes and memory covering all the important subjects – mothers, prom dresses, mothers buying bras, mothers, hating purses and why we only wear black.   There are many heart-stopping moments coupled with comic moments and quick-fire one-liners that strike recognizable chords. A magnificent celebration of life through old but unforgotten clothes.

The Cast:      5 to 7 Woman aged 20-something to 60-something. This is a show about women—all women.  We are looking to cast a diverse blend of women of all ages and sizes.  Each woman will create a series of distinct characters.

Audition material:   Please choose TWO monologues/sides listed below.

The director is interested in seeing how well you can portray two different and distinct characters.  Monologues do not have to be memorized.
