What had become a new holiday tradition in Auburn, NY before the pandemic is now
returning in December! Leslie Bricusse’s “SCROOGE – The Musical” will be
presented by The Auburn Players Community Theater at the Auburn Public Theater
December 7 th through the 9 th .
We are looking for actors who sing – all ages, types and vocal ranges. There is always a
large cast of children/young actors as well who appear throughout with several featured
roles.
Please come prepared to sing a brief musical theater song or a Christmas carol – we will
provide an accompanist and have music on hand for those who sing a carol. If you have
a resume, please provide us with a copy. If we need you to read we will ask you to stay a
bit and try your hand at an English accent.
Rehearsals will be light beginning in October involving weeknights and weekends and
will become more concentrated as we near production week.
Whether you prefer the ensemble or are interested in speaking roles, we welcome folks
from all over the CNY area to come out and audition. This has proven to be a wonderful
experience for all involved and we’re eager to bring it back to the stage!
