A crucial part of a live performance happens behind the scenes, both before a production is mounted and during its run. Even before auditions, a group of dedicated Artists start creating the magic of theatre.

Let’s look at the NUNSENSE Creative Team

BOB FRAME (Director) has been involved with the Auburn Players since he moved into town in 1979 and has worked on almost every production since. Often accused of “hating musicals”, this is in fact the 9th musical he has helmed and the 101st directing responsibility in his storied career. During his time with APCT he has also acted, built sets, designed lights, and serves on the Board of Directors. Bob is also currently a board member and roving adjudicator for TANYS (Theatre Association of NY State). Additionally, he serves as Vice-President for festivals of the AACT (American Association of Community Theatre), which is the national advocating body for non-professional theatre. He was recently recognized as a fellow of that organization and will be focused on staging their June 2025 “National Community Theatre Festival” to be held in Des Moines, Iowa. Bob recently retired from Cayuga Community College, but he still teaches theatre courses and directs for Harlequin Productions. During his career, Bob’s work has received many positive reviews and won numerous awards, notably the “J. Richard Mahlstedt Directing Award” from TANYS.

BEN KRINGER (Music Director) loves sharing his talents through singing and playing the piano, and he has played the role of church pianist many times.  He has served as Music Director for the APCT Youth Theater production of “Seussical the Musical, Jr.” and last year’s holiday production of “Scrooge.”  He has performed on stage with the Skaneateles Summer Theater and the APCT Summer Youth Theater.

TERRI FOX (Asst. Director, Props Mistress) is an active member of APCT since 2012 when she got drafted into working tech for Annie, and she hasn’t left backstage since. She joined APCT’s Board of Directors a few years later and acquired the House Manager seat. Terri has been Props Mistress for the majority of APCT’s shows since 2014. Terri has also worked with MGR Playhouse, Auburn HS, Harlequin Productions, and Auburn Public Theatre as a prop mistress, stagehand, and stage manager.

NAVROZ DABU (Scenic Designer) Navroz is excited to return to APCT following his recent designs for Lil Abner, Romeo and Juliet, A Mid-Summer Night’s Dream, and The Giver (2017 TANYS/BMI Best Overall Design Award). Other recent works include CNYP’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream (2019 Scenic design SALT award), Annie, and Melagrana (2017 Scenic Design SALT Award), BTG’s The Elephant Man, Jeff Kramer’s The Golden Bitch, and Syracuse Shakespeare Festival’s Noises Off.

VIRGINIA FENNESSY (Costume Designer) is a retired high school English and Theatre teacher, who worked at Nottingham HS for 32 years. She received her BA in English and Theatre from the University of Buffalo, with a concentration in acting and directing. Most recently she won an award of excellence from TANYS for her set and costume designs for The Texas Tower Project with Cayuga Community College, and an honorable mention from The Kennedy Center for her set design for Elsewhere at SUNY Oswego.

NIKKIA BOROWSKI (Co-Choreographer) is an instructor at Absolute Dance (Auburn NY), where she enjoys teaching dance to students of all ages. Nikkia is also a PhD candidate in Inclusive Education at Syracuse University. She previously Choreographed for APCT’s Summer Youth Theater

MELISSA PANEK (Stage Manager) has worked on numerous shows with APCT. Most recent credits include Scrooge – the Musical, Antigone and Letters to Soldiers Lost, How to Succeed…, Li’l Abner, Moon Over Buffalo, The Giver, and The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940. Melissa is the owner of Absolute Dance (Auburn NY). She is the Past-President of the APCT Board of Directors, and a committee member of TANYS.

HEATHER ROSENTHAL (Assistant Stage Manager) is excited to be a part of this production team. Previous credits are serving as, Props Mistress for And Away We Go (APCT) and Asst. Stage Manager for Annie (CNYP). She is the Box Office Manager for the Baldwinsville Theatre Guild.
